A few weeks ago, I spoke to Richard Forer. He is the author of “Breakthrough: Transforming Fear into Compassion – A New Perspective on the Israel-Palestine Conflict.” He has ultra-Orthodox relatives living in Israel. He has first-hand knowledge of issues in Israel. and speaker with expertise on middle East history and current issues.. He was formerly with AIPAC, a lobbying group working on behalf of Israel. His opinions on the Israeli-Palestinian conflict, and larger issues of Israel’s national identity have earned both accolades and condemnation.

There was a technical problem at the beginning of our interview, and we lost the first few minutes of Mr Forer’s background. Mr. Forer was talking about the things that had motivated him to change his perspectives on the ongoing struggle between Israel and the Palestinians. I’m putting up the interview as it stands, because people need to hear what Richard has to say about Bibi Netanyahu’s election and other conflict points that Americans may not understand. I’m hoping that someday soon, I can fill in that section with Richard’s help. In the meantime, give a listen.
