You say you wanna revolution?
What People quickly understood was that there was no Constitutional mechanism for a do-over. The Founders didn’t think it was necessary to back-stop the Impeachment process with a way of dumping a whole government. Or if they did, it wasn’t expressed in the Constitution. I guess them old white guy slave-owner plutocrats figured if things were in the toilet that badly, we the people would figure out the need for revolt all on our lonesome.
Ukraine nuclear plants facing meltdown?
Several months ago (in April), I wrote about the obstructionist mess in electoral politics in the US leading to a ‘search for a man on horseback‘–the belief that someone like Donald Trump could sweep in on a steed and (metaphorically, one hopes) swing a sword a few times and bring us to a new age […]
Father Carl takes on the empire again

That there are too many dumb and-or crazy things going on to address? The inspiration for this essay came to me a few weeks ago, when it was announced that […]
Hip Hop Happy Time!
Yes, I’m depressing to read lately. Don’t know why anybody would follow my posts. And this week just passed was the week that crap blew up all over the place. The week of the Methane Bubble in Siberia. The week when a Malaysian airliner got shot down over Ukraine. The week when a whole lot […]

A 20th anniversary for nuclear weapons protest
Like many of you, I have been distracted by (code for ‘taking extra Klonopin‘ over) the heightening tensions between the US and Russia over the Ukraine. There seems to be little agreement about who the guilty parties are in terms of what’s going on. True, the Russians have responded with military force, but there appears […]
