follow up to the Seattle Grand Jury story I had reported on. Assuming we all survive the last day of the Mayan Calendar, here’s an event in support of the folks incarcerated in Seattle for refusing to testify to a grand jury there.

Repression and Revolt: Grand Jury Resistance in the Pacific Northwest

After a recent history of contagious anarchist activity in Seattle and the broader Pacific Northwest the area is facing a wave of increased repression. This summer homes in Portland were raided by SWAT teams, and multiple anarchists in Portland and Olympia have been subpoenaed to testify before a federal grand jury investigating May Day vandalism in Seattle. The feds, as always, are also using this as an opportunity to map social networks.
