In June, I made a prediction about October 3 of this year. Actually, I didn’t make the prediction, someone named Malcolm Light did and I posted it here. The prediction was that October 3 was going to be the last day when humans could do anything to prevent runaway global warming and (by extension) mass extinction. Doctor Malcolm Light had posted the above chart (put together by a group of scientists that includes Sam Carana, Harold Hensel and other anonymous contributors) last year. My understanding (and remember, I am the simple artist) was that 2015 would be the year we lost arctic summer ice. While this is not the case, we are not out of the woods. Thanks to the El Nino, we’re looking at Arctic Storms that threaten to force ever-warmer waters down into the ocean levels where thousands of gigatons of methane are sequestered by delicate, temperature-sensitive structures called clathrates. And meanwhile, there are pictures from NASA shared by Harold Hensel that show unprecedented turmoil and ice melting in the Laptev sea. It’s a complicated story to follow, so bear with me.
The most disturbing information (which is also the easiest to follow) has been uploaded by a woman named Jennifer Hynes, a data technician and researcher who has tried to coalesce all of the information on runaway heating into comprehensible bits. She has explained Here how the presence of El Nino has changed from historical norms and now threatens the Arctic Seas. Apparently, a large high-pressure area has pushed El Nino’s hot spots (and rain) away from California where it would normally provide water, and pushed the hot spots up to the Arctic to heat northern waters. You can cut to the chase at the 7 minute mark of this video. The whole series is worth watching, but (as you’ve figured out if you buy into what I’m writing here) your time is precious.
Anyway, I went to Dr. Light’s FB page to see what his take was on his prediction. Here’s his statement as of today.

In related news, James Lovelock, the scientist who first discovered CFC’s in the atmosphere and advanced the GAIA hypothesis, just said ‘Turn out the lights, the party’s over‘. Okay, that isn’t quite what he said. What he said (per this article) is society should retreat to ‘climate-controlled cities’ and give up on large expanses of land which will become uninhabitable… “We should be ‘strengthening our defences and making a sustainable retreat…We’re reaching an age in history where you can no longer predict the future with any hope of success…We should give up vainglorious attempts to save the world”.

There is No Carbon Budget
California emitted 459 Toxic Tons of Carbon Dioxide in 2014.
Gov Browns call to reduce this to 1990 levels so we can continue to emit over 400 million Toxic Tons a year, will not help us stop or slow down Global Warming and Sea Levels Rising.

What will the Temp. be at 415 ppm ?

When will Sea Level Rise to 220 – 300 Feet ? 2020 ? 2025 ? ?

As of Now, they are talking about capping GHGs at 450 ppm.

We must transition to 100% Renewable Energy
Implement a California Residential and Commercial Feed in Tariff.
California Residential Feed in Tariff would allow homeowners to sell their Renewable Energy to the utility, protecting our communities from, Global Warming, Poison Water, Grid Failures, Natural Disasters, Toxic Natural Gas and Oil Fracking.
A California Commercial FiT in Los Angeles, Palo Alto, an Sacramento Ca. are operating NOW, paying the Business Person 17 cents cents per kilowatt hour.
