Today, February 11, is a day of protest against unwarranted and illegal Government surveillance of the citizens of this country. I’ve blogged about this before, but what you need to know is that there is now an organized protest against the NSA surveillance revealed by Edward Snowden and others. It is also a protest against the continuing privatization of surveillance revealed by Jeremy Hammond. There’s a funny little black banner at the bottom of my website. If you click it, you’ll see doomer porn–NO WAIT. If you click it, you’ll be directed to a website called THE DAY WE FIGHT BACK, which has detailed and (IMHO) chilling information about the extent of surveillance being carried out on people all over the world regardless of whether they’re thought to be engaged in ‘terrorist’ activity.
Here’s a link to the website THE DAY WE FIGHT BACK in case there’s a problem with the link on the banner. And let’s get real here–some 255,000+ have taken time out of their days to demand that Justin Bieber be deported back to Canada. In the grand order of the world, this matters a wee bit more.
